The Second ASECAP Innovation Challenge has been launched.
The Challenge question is the following: What innovative solutions can be employed to automate vehicles and systems for road maintenance?
As climate change, aging assets, and rising traffic volumes increase operational pressures, the automation of maintenance vehicles offers a powerful opportunity to enhance efficiency, protect workers, and ensure uninterrupted service for road users. Motorway operators, startups, research institutions, and technology providers are invited to propose breakthrough solutions such as autonomous maintenance vehicles, robotic repair systems, AI-driven diagnostics, or smart sensor integration.

The winners will receive an invitation to the ASECAP Days, taking place in Bratislava from May 27–29, 2026.
Partner of the Innovation Challenge is the Austrian Competence Centre for Innovation Procurement.
